You do have to WAIT after they are reset a good few seconds.

For those still with this issue, the solution is that you have to put them in the case first, then press and hold the button for about 5-8 seconds on each (at the same time) until they turn pink/red for about 2 seonds. Then you can take them out and re-pair them.
