*Just Released* Soundcore Mini 2 - My experiences

Hi Anker Community,
I have finally received Anker’s latest Soundcore Mini 2 last Friday. I have created an unboxing and review video on my YouTube channel. I decided to post it on the community as I want you to see it. I absolutely love this speaker, as it is durable and that you can pair another one together to make a left and right stereo. If only you could pair older Soundcores together. Such as my Soundcore 2.

Pros -
•Full 6 Watt speaker (with BaseUp technology)
•True Wireless Stereo: Pair two Soundcore Mini 2 together for stereo sound
•Great build quality and finish with waterproof IPX7 rating
•Up to 15 hours of music playback (depending on usage)
•Able to answer phone calls or access voice control software with the in-built microphone
•Rechargeable via supplied micro-USB cable (1A max input for fast charging)
•‘grippy’ circular rubber base to speaker to avoid surface vibrations

Cons -
•Does not have USB Type C input for charging. USB Type C is the new standard
•Can not pair older Soundcore’s together
•No audio aux input cable provided, but these are generally easily available at low cost
•No built-in radio or micro-sd card slot that the original SoundCore Mini has

Hope you enjoy my review. Please let me know what I should add and change in the video as it would help me out a lot.

Good review :clap:t2:

I noticed you said it sounds good at max volume - I must admit I tend to always have my speakers turned up to 90/100% so this for me is an important aspect

@k_pug2003 thanks man, glad you liked it. Normally with Bluetooth speakers the sound becomes distorted at max volume. Lucky the Soundcore Mini 2 doesn’t.

Thanks for the review.

Is there an inverse relationship between good bass sound and weight? A lighter speaker just vibrates? Is this why the Nano is better at voice and Mini better at music?

I think bass comes down to the driver and acoustics of said speaker. I use to have an old yamaha speaker that was about 4x6 inches and that thing produced great bass response, but that was because it used an acoustic channel to direct the bass. That speaker also weighed less than a pound, so great sound and bass isn’t directly related to weight, but how it’s designed and it’s acoustics
