Just bought a Powerport speed 5, Worried-ish

So i just bought this

I’ve read some horror stories about Aukey/Anker burns, albeit a little more common on Aukey, i went with Anker because they seem to be one-offs ( Just like big brands where that can happen once in a blue moon )

Can anyone confirm that this is safe to use?

I myself along with many other members here have and use this product. In fact I have 3 of them in use at my house

Have it myself and had no issues, as safe to use as most things can be :slightly_smiling_face:

I got this since 2 years or more.
No problems.
This is the charger I take for vacations and here at home.
Always plugged in.
Safe.

I don’t have this exact one, but I do have a similar one (still anker brand) and it works great.

I have this exact charger for over a year, use them to power up couple of my Raspberry Pi and these are powered on 18hours a day for last 1 year… All running good no issues and can say this is safe.

I hope you don’t have any issues with this chargers. I don’t have that one especially but I use other Anker chargers and I haven’t had any issues yet

As you stated, things happen. I have 3 Anker PowerPorts and use them daily with no problems. And that has been several years now. Anker has great customer support so if you have any concerns, you can always contact them. They respond pretty quick too.

Around a year for me.
Plugged in all the time, for my phone, tablet, Bluetooth speaker any for friends to have a quick recharge when they pop round.
No worries from me.

Thanks guys! This is exactly why i bought an Anker despite being more expensive than Aukey, 2 people reported burns on amazon to Aukey, and got the same exact reply, Anker seems to be confident that it’s customers are satisfied
