It's snowing in Union County, NC in April!

As long as I have lived in Union County, NC, I have never seen snow in April, especially with the amount that we got (we get very little to no snow all year round).
The weather has been very odd lately. Even though Union County’s location makes weather prediction harder, the weather in the past few months has been pretty out of the normality. In February, there was about a week that was in the high 70s; and now in April, it’s snowing!

May 25, 2004 I was in Ohio and it snowed 8 inches that day. Still remember that :relaxed:

I was a doctoral student at Miami University in Oxford, OH
I love snow and have lived in Ohio, Wisconsin, Massachusetts and now New Hampshire :slight_smile:

In fact there are places within 2 hr drive from my home where you can ski even till first week of June.

2016 it snowed in Vermont on my Birthday April 16… The week and days leading up to my birthday showed no indication it was going to be cold or snow. The day before I kept telling everyone it was going to snow on my birthday and they all thought I was crazy. Then low and behold we woke up to snow on the ground. That was the latest into April it had ever snowed

Do not tell to Donald Trump. That is another argument that climate change (earth heating up ) does not exist.

Well, in Germany the winterseason this time was quite short. We had some good snow. But only short time. In mountains the snow stayed longer.
But now it is springtime since 4 weeks.

It hasn’t snowed here in Atlanta recently but the weather has been weird. We have had a week where high were in high 70s and got couple days of low 50s weather with near freezing temps at night. Now its gonna be hot again for a week with high in high 70s and low in mid to high 50s.

I was working in Greensboro earlier today and it was snowing and then sleeting. It also snowed in Gastonia and I think Charlotte as well
