Is the AUX port disabled when I use a DVD Player on HDMI port?

Dear Team,

I want to connect the Nebula Capsule Max, using the AUX port, to my Sonos Home system.

Hererafter when happens now:
1). When I use embedded Nebula Capsule Max software, to connect to Youtube, Redbull, Netflix… I can play any movie directly from the Nebula Operating System, the AUX port is connected to my Sonos system, and the audio signal is working perfectly. I can play anything on the internet, and that’s works just fine.

2). When I connect my Sony DVD Player to the Nebula using the HDMI port, the AUX port connected to my Sonos system stops! It seems the Nebula Capsule Max is not delivering the audio signal output anymore!

Could you please tell why is the AUX port not delivering audio output signal when I connect a DVD Player to the HDMI input port?
Does it mean, the Nebula Capsule Max disables the AUX port whenever a cable is connected to the HDMI input port?

Thank you for your prompt answer.

Kind regards,

Don’t own but seems to me that you can either;

  • app is running within the projector, the aux port is for output other than Bluetooth, or
  • hdmi is input for video and audio

You don’t have the 3rd option of

  • hdmi for video input, aux for audio output.

That makes perfect sense to me as hdmi is for video and audio and if you want them going to separate places you do that within the cables you use.

Also sounds like a feature request, to make a future product to allow to add the combined hdmi video and audio input to be split by the projector to send audio out over aux.
