I want my Soundbuds not to deactivate every 15 minutes of inactivity

Could it be done?

Hi @TeoX , by deactivate I take it you mean power off? This is a design feature of the SoundBuds to save battery life when not in use and cannot be altered. The best you could do is to have your paired device continue playing music via the SoundBuds at a low volume when not in your ear.

Are they magnet-equipped? If yes, when separating them, shouldn’t they reconnect automatically?

No that’s a feature on this

Believe this is only on the ‘Tag’ model…also another one which is escaping me at the moment

Interesting, both my slims will stay paired for hours and stay that way until I seperate the two devices. I’m normally connected and listening to music as I walk into work or I’m on the phone as get to work. I put the phone in my pocket and turn off the tunes and let the slims hang from neck for the next 8 to 9 hours. Then after work I turn the music on and the slims are still paired.

Are you using an iPhone with the ‘Hey Siri’ feature enabled? That’s the only thing I could think of that would possibly keep them treated as an active device.

No I own and use an LG G4. Does google’s version work like Siri? I have an old iphone and it works the same way.

Another thought, on microsoft devices? They have cortona (i think that’s what its called) does it work the same way as siri?

I believe (but perhaps a core android user can confirm) that both Google’s and MS versions can be set to always be on, like Siri.

My motorola and now my Samsung both remain on even when no music is playing…this being the soundbuds surge. My motorola has hello moto feature which is similar to sir and the other asistants so that could be why it stays on with nothing playing.

But isn’t this effectively what stand by would be, with the device connected but no source is playing?

Thanks all for the kind reply and suggestions.@ndalby @Antoine_Turpin @nigelhealy @Element321 @TeoX I understand your concern.
