HP Spectre Compatibility

I am looking at the new Anker 5 in 1 USB C hub for my 2019 HP Spectre 360. I have heard horror stories about 3rd party products not working with HP. Has anybody used this product or a similar Anker product successfully with an HP laptop or more specifically an HP spectre 360?

Its not only the device you want to use an external item, more important is the OS you use ot that device.
