How do people feel on the new points System?

when I only get 21 points instead of the 80 I used to get

I check mine out of interest and I’m also missing points for a few visits for the community that haven’t registered.

The changes in PB earnings have had a big impact and the powerdraw and auctions will soon fall off the community as nobody will have any.

I agree on the PB’s for reviews etc, it’s what Anker have been working towards with We Love Testing etc. They want the reviews to promote their products.
But, as for a community who help each other and Anker by making suggestions and answering polls I believe there should be a few other options to earn them.

Solving a question is also a hard one. It can only happen if someone asks a question and you are on here at the time with the answer so limited opportunity.

But, all in all I’m happy. Just think it could be tweaked to keep some of the good bits of the community thriving.

I must admit recently I’ve been very inactive so my expectation of gaining points has been extremely low. So I can’t say I’ve noticed that it’s harder to gain points.

While I joke and tease about point farming I honestly don’t mind - well 99% of the time :joy:
That 1% is when it was detrimental to the forum.

Personally I think making people work hard for points ain’t a bad thing if there was a chance for greater rewards :muscle:t2:

Just looking at the very first points chart when the community relaunched in 2016, wow quite a few changes since then :cold_sweat:

Did put forward a suggestion for keeping points higher (perhaps 50) when a topic is pinned (as a reward etc) during the last points consultation / re-jig but no dice…

Thank you

LOL I did the same. I did not even pay attention to them. I would come and check ever so often, and make a few comments and then check PowerDraw and think wow got a few points that I can use. LOL

I think the new points system does discourage point farming and encourages original reviews…which is good. It does make it tough to get bucks for the power draw, agreed. the price of entry should be lower.

Yeah I’ve given up on ever making it to senior member. I used to be really excited about leveling up but I don’t think I’ll ever make it. It just takes too much time :frowning:

I second it, share the same sentiment :frowning:

there is a silver-lining… makes me less addicted to my constant checking of community

I know the feeling. Now, it will probably take a lifetime to achieve the last level. I guess we’ll see who’s here for the long haul

Seems like the activity on the forum went way down after the update. IMHO unless Anker makes a few tweaks I think this trend is going to continue.

I think @ankerofficial could get some good responses if they offered big chunks of experience points for certain actions.

I remember feeling like I was almost at 20,000 now it seems weeks away.

Oh but you can get 30 PB a day. all you have to do is 3 reviews per day

Who was the genius that came up with that idea…

HA I thought about that. My reviews take SO LONG to make though. All the video editing, photographing, etc. I have other work I do in my off time, so it’s tougher to justify so many reviews. I’ve got a backlog of two or three reviews to do as is!
