Hello Summer My Old Friend | Share Your Photos and Win PowerBucks!

I’m still staying at home. Here in Charlotte, NC we’re still seeing and uptick in virus cases so we 're looking fondly back on our trip to Playa Del Carmen and Cozumel last year. Here is a picture of my sweetie on one of the beaches of Cozumel.

Great pic @moracho … so relaxing, nice evening pic at the beach …

All wonderful pics on this thread :ok_hand:

Thanks @Shenoy I would have to say my favorite places to vacation would be around a beach. Hope you are enjoying and making the best of your summer. I hope everyone stays safe and can enjoy their time.

Hey all! I’m new here. Figured i’d show off my crafts i’ve been doing over the past couple weeks. This already hot and humid weather has got me wanting to stay inside and make things  Did all the meticulous painting, staining and vinyl myself, my husband built his work table and a bunch of other things for me. We’ve been pretty busy and trying to keep ourselves out of trouble! Thanks for having me!

Great work @anconley :+1:t2:

thanks for the great pictures everyone will see if I can find a one

@anconley Nice work, I really like the triangle art. Is that from something or your own idea.

Awesome! Hope she said yes!

Waiting for water to boil is like another version of a thermometer. It’s going to be a dry summer and we’ll see what plants survive

Found a few photos from last years summer down south…hoping to get down there again this year (or next) depending on how things go…

Mouth of Dartmouth harbour…nice little sun spot on a sunny afternoon with a fresh incoming breeze (and a decent pub just behind that allows takeout )

Another while passing through Torbay…bit of a calm before the storm moment :cloud_with_lightning_and_rain:

We love that corner of the world @ndalby
We were in Brixham last summer and always do the train and boat tour at Dartmouth.

Did you see the seal that is normally lazes in Brixham harbour?

The other day it was 90 degrees and 95% humidity… and I was working outside.

I would prefer it be 110 with no humidity over this.

Can’t say i did @ndalby
Was probably more focused on getting to the George and Dragon :grimacing:

I love the sea.
Was born in the high mountains!

In summer grey surrounding and cold ,
in winter white surrounding and ice cold!
Late sunrise , early sunset.
Not for me.

I remember one morning we had to go to school.
Walking what else : -26C.
The snot was freezing in the nose!

But living at the coast in winter?
Foggy and moisty, I suppose.

I have been told that from our friends from our beloved Acores Islands.
Winter: temperature ca 10-13C,
but rain and fog --> rheumatism?

Who needs to fly? Some of our happiest family memories are on the beach in St Ives making the most of the great British summer (in between showers). Spending the entire day on the beach, building sand castles, eating ice cream, playing games and listening to chilled out tunes. At the end of the day we’d often be the last people on the beach as we sheltered in our beach tent from the seagulls eating fish & chips from the beach bar.

There are many who dont live at the beach.
Should they stay at home if they like the sea shore?
You are lucky!
But I have to fly!

Don’t get me wrong, it was a 6 hour drive to get to the beach compared to 3 hour flight to somewhere warmer and sunnier, but with foreign travel looking unlikely for a while, it looks like I’ll be holidaying in the UK. Where’s your favourite place to spend the summer?

Of course I dont get you wrong.
I am living in München, so all coasts are far away,

Take a look at post Nr. 61.
That’s our place…
