Have Anker and chill

Anker powerbank, 26800

Now it might take all night to charge, but my god the thing is a beast.

I’ve actually been using recently for.my fan! Yes fan.

In the UK at the mo, we are having a heatwave (for us!) And at times it’s in the mid twenties most of the day, and quite humid with it, and barely any breeze.

Our Molly hates a normal fan, the whirring and whining sound, but these portable fans (well chuck it in a bag, rather than pocket) are fantastic.

Highly recommended, if you need usb power, but need it where you can’t use a lead or don’t have a pc, then this beast is your friend.

What other reasons did you get a extra large powerbank except your tech devices.

For me, the big ones are great for family trips.
Like the ones where you’re at a theme park or just out and about all day.

I have a belt pouch (no, not a fanny pack! … I always laugh at that) one side is my fone, the other has a tiny micro-usb n USBC lead, a 1m USBC lead, a 5600 powerbank (the round large lipstick one), my pills (a small strip of morphine) and a disabled toilet key, all in one side lol so when I go out for a long day or overnight, I can keep going!

It helps I have a 4100 battery in my galaxy S10 plus.

Great idea! USB-powered fans are very versatile!

Yowza! That’s a beefy battery.
@Anker needs to get you a solar panel to strap on your back

It’s probably approx 2meters from me, and it’s just right, a nice cool breeze, without being too much.

I have mine angled down to my legs, and when reclined, it blows gently all over! lol

Jane has one with a smaller powerbank (a 10000, I think) and she loves it … not bad for a £2 usb fan.

Cool idea (get it?).

:joy::joy::joy:. That’s a very pleasant temperature here :joy:

It’s the humidity that gets to me more than the temp.

Learn to love a gazebo, a sealed against crawling things outside room. I got into them here in California for the couple of weeks a year the wind is too slight to blow through cooler evening into a hot house. Sleep in one til you wake then go indoors.

As to your Powercore, surprised it takes a long time to charge, do you have the dual input variety? I have one and it’s coming with me.

Not advocating a specific product but an illustration of the idea. As these are zipped sealed from the outside world, there is no electricity so yes a Powercore or two inside to keep your laptop going is a good pairing.

I am back in UK next month and the UK is not prepared for the man made climate change like the USA is with air conditioned everything, so the thing I own which is nearest to the USA gazebo is a one man tent, single skin with mesh all around.

Example, not endorsement:

Why do I think the summer in the UK is not hot?

It may not be as hot as you’re used to, but for us, it is hot.

The fast charger I have, is only one usbA, and.other is USBC output.
So using a second plug, which isn’t fast at all, and the Anker brick USBC pd.

The UK is not accustomed to regularly hot weather, so air conditioning, etc is not common.

The USA has decades of most of it having heat for months so most USA homes have air conditioning.

Here is the San Francisco area, next to a cooling Pacific, it tends to get an onshore breeze when temperatures rise, apart from a few weeks when a blocking high pressure system. Then, it’s coping strategies.

The UK people will have to learn coping skills like the other Billions who already live in hot climates.

We agree a Powercore 26800 is an excellent part of that.

I live on a small island, of course I know what humidity is

I’m just saying 90% humidity combined with 98 degrees Fahrenheit (36 Celsius) isn’t fun…

I can use mine to power my digital SLR cameras and rechargeable AA/AAA batteries as well as camera batteries.

You can even use power banks to power security cameras for a no-wire approach.
