I have the Soundcore Boost 20w And love it.

Sorry Paul don’t have this one.
I wrote a review some time ago comparing MOTION+, FLARE and ZERO.
All different from design,
(The brick, the tower , the handbag 
)
the mounting of the speakers and the type of speakers built in.
I use those all alternating.
BUT I use different equalizers for these different speaker.

The Boost is heavier on bass, sometimes to the point I found songs muddy when it was enabled. The Zero just has the edge on loudness…

The Soundcore can be quite booming, especially is it’s on a hollow surface (top of a kitchen worktop etc)so I find the Bass Up setting is off most of the time.
For its price and what I use it for it does the job, but I’m always on the lookout for the next best thing

You should place the speaker on different places in a room.
Distance to the wall to other furniture.
Best in the level of the ears listening to.
And last not least curtains swallow a lot.
This “cave” you put your speaker in makes a real special sound I know.
I have done those “experiments” a lot.
