Give Us Your Christmas Spirit | Get Christmas Cheer! š„³
Letās keep it simple in the spirit and season of giving with contests that allow the winners to choose 1 big prize or 2 smaller prizes, one of which will be sent to a predetermined organization (or to a friend).
Get back to what was normal. Get out of lock-down
Lol that would be awesome but I donāt think they will. Cool idea though
Just some random thoughts and ideas. A virtual Anker Christmas Party with games and giveaways. Giveaway with Christmas items like sweaters or scarves with Anker logos. Selling Limited edition holiday themed version of popular items like headphones or holiday skins for some of the most popular products. A contest nominating local charitable organizations to receive a monetary donation via Anker or the organization receiving Anker products. I would also like a āhow itās madeā style segment on various Anker products or virtual tours of some of Ankerās facilities.
Iād love to see a contest where people take pictures of the most creative ways theyāve used your products. It would be nice to see what other people have thought of outside the box.
This is sounding increasingly like ideas which copy Soundcore approach.
Over there they do photos with Soundcore products in shot but most times I donāt carry their products, Iād have a flashlight Bolder LC40 now in winter, a Powercore in an Anker waterproof pouch and some Soundcore Slim around my neck. Itās a storm here now in England and thatās what I have on me.
Competitions with one line replies and random selected invite the most submissions, typically hundreds. Ones based on talent (photos, story) typically get a couple of dozen, less than 1/10th the entries. Thatās probably a combination of an easier question is answered more often, and the random selection forces a few users to reply from their many accounts. The latter, yes, youād spot via old memberās knowledge.
The only way youād know is if they won twice and sent to same address, which weād never see and reliant on Anker to notice. I donāt see how we can do anything to stop it, just know in some types of competitions youāre chances approach nil and accept it, so focus on talent based competitions. The Nebula photo collage competition is a positive example, won by both a new user and was a real person with a happy outcome. I felt good by that type of result.
Anker owns and funds this community. Itās their investment. I suspect they are calculating that the odd mass easy competition, gets a few sticky users to hang around and the regulars win in the trickier talent based competitions, so they do lose $ to the odd swindler but overall they achieve their goals.
If you can spot the pattern, right now is before 8am PDT and itās quiet now. If the actors doing the many accounts were spread evenly youād expect an even hit here, e.g. USA east coast population is at least as high as west coast and itās 11am there.
If Iām correct then watch L0 post increase in next hour, if itās totally stopped then proves itās one person who thinks competition ended.
Spammers seem to be based in Asia timezone.
We donāt seem that much hit by bots as a bot never sleeps and so randomly is spread through 24x7 period. So I think weāre dealing with Asian spammers and USA west coast faker.
Time for UK and German only prizes?
You may be right, letās see.
Iām scouring over the pic again as we speak, i can only get 10 but feel there should be more. I have āgapsā and feel maybe the items should be spaced more evenly
I would give them at least a couple of weeks. They have a break during the holidays. Although the 24th was stated, it usually will take a few weeks.
In the year 2525ā¦
