Garmin GPS and Liberty 2 Pro Issue

Hello there

I recently received a pair of Liberty 2 Pro’s- really happy with them generally, however I started using them for running and have had an issue with the GPS not functioning properly on my Garmin watch.

I have a Garmin Fenix 3, which worked flawlessly in my local area before using with the headphones. I start the watch before running and it finds GPS whilst stationary, but as soon as I start moving it loses connection. I looked on the Garmin site, they suggest the bluetooth can interfere with GPS signals, so they suggest trying the watch on the other wrist, which I did but this doesn’t appear to have made a difference.

Does anyone else have similar problems or any suggestions to fix the issue? I’m not sure if I should be posting on this forum or the Garmin forum to find an answer, so I’ll probably try both!

Thanks

Ed

I dont have a Garmin watch but I do have a Samsung Gear S3 Frontier watch. I paired my earbuds to the watch itself and used the gps without issues, but I did have issues when the earbuds were paired to my phone.

Not sure if you can pair the earbuds to your watch, but that was a work around for me to not have any issues

Nice one thanks for that, I know you can use the watch to control the music by pairing with a phone but in my case, don’t think its possible to pair the watch directly with the headphones unfortunately. Soundcore support suggested wearing the watch on my other wrist, but that doesn’t appear to have helped either. Would be interested to know if anyone has had similar or better experiences with any of the Garmin GPS watches? Maybe some settings in the watch might help?

Otherwise my workaround might just be to use strava on my phone when I’m out running!

Thanks

We are sorry to hear your headphones are not working properly. According to the information you described, the issue you are experiencing is very unusual. Please try the following steps to see if it helps at all.

  1. Try reducing the distance between your right earbud and your audio device, like having your audio device in your right pocket or right side. Your right Soundcore Liberty earbud is the master (main) earbud. It connects to your audio device and to the left earbud.
  2. Reset the earbuds: Place the earbuds back into the charging case and keep the case open, and then tap and hold the button at the back of the case for 10 seconds until both earbuds’ LED lights flash red 3 times.
  3. Reset your Bluetooth connection by turning off your device’s Bluetooth for at least 10 seconds and then turn it back on. Please note, turning Bluetooth off and back on quickly will not reset the connection.
  4. Try closing any other Apps you’re not using on your device.

If the issue still persists, don’t worry, please don’t hesitate to contact us at service@soundcore.com by detailing your order number and the problem you come across. We will reply you within 24 hours.
