Flare+ can't control volume with PC

Just got the soundcore Flare+ in the mail today. Synced it to my laptop to give it a try and I can’t control the volume of the Flare+ with my laptop. My previous, Flip 3, I was able to with no issue. Pretty annoying if you have to control the volume manually. Tested the device with my Note 9 and it works fine.

I tried updating the flare+ firmware listed on the Flare+ page and it didn’t work, LOL! The program supplied by the manufacture says the firmware isn’t compatible.

OS: Windows 10
All manufacture drivers up to date

Windows 10 seems to have a lot of Bluetooth issues from what I’ve seen on this forum! I would suggest trying to find the specific manufacturer name of the Bluetooth chipset in your computer and then going to the Bluetooth manufacturer’s website (not your laptop’s manufacturer) to obtain the very latest drivers.

The fact that you can control the volume with your Note 9 would lead me to believe that it may be a driver issue in Windows 10.

That was my first course of action. It’s an Intel chip and I have the intel driver support assistant installed on my computer. Bluetooth 5.0 is supported (LMP 9.256). Everything is up to date with intel and HP.

I’m wondering if this is an issue with the device in general, a gross over site.

Edit: I forgot to add in my original post, mute on my PC does work. May have to return it.
