File location of Ring chimes/motion alert sounds ect and Changing them

So i’ve switched from and dumped RING !..
Although i’m NOT happy with the MOTION ALERT and DOORBELL CHIME Ring SOUNDS in the eufy…

Since “MOTION” alerts do NOT come through on the eufy “Chime doorbell” like they do on RING… what I have done is:

I took a OLD Galaxy S7 phone and hooked up SPEAKERS to it and put it in my kitchen as a REPLACEMENT for the included external CHIME that came with Eufy… This way I can get BOTH Motion alert sounds and DOORBELL PRESS sounds through the old Galaxy S7 phone w/ amplified speakers hooked to the old headphone jack…

So as I said I had a RIP OFF RING with a monthly fee… BUT I liked their RING CHIME and their MOTION DETECTED Sounds…

Does anyone know the path locations on the Android phone of where the MOTION DETECTION and DOORBELL RING Sounds are stored for Eufy ? and do you think I can just take the CHIME.MP3 or WAV or whatever it is from the RING Directory, rename it and put it in over pasting it into the Eufy sounds folder ?

Would much appreciate input and help etc :slight_smile:

The coming 1.8 version of our eufy APP in mid-July will allow users to customize the notification sounds.

OMG !! Awesome !!! Yea I had searched and searched for .mp3/.ogg and .wav looking for the DEFAULT sound files couldnt find em so I posted here… So we only have a few weeks to wait then ! Ive snakked my RING .OGG Files I wanna use (guess I got used to them…)

I see version 1.8.0.xx came out on July 9th…Ive updated mine… although how do I change to a custom audio file in the DOORBELL PRESS BUTTON and also in the MOTION sounds ? I did the update and went to (settings …gear icon) and then NOTIFICATIONS and then to MOTION ALERTS/RING ALERTS but there isnt a way to change to a CUSTOM alert tone (audio file) ?

Hi,

Sorry for confusing you.

By customize the sounds, we meant customers can choose the different sounds provided in motion alerts/ring alerts. As you’ve mentioned, uploading local sounds are still not available at this moment, but we are taking it in consideration in the future APP development.

Just downloaded the new update 1.8.1 glad to see the option to change notification sounds. Now I can hear different sounds for eufy and know when to peek at my phone.

This option is not available for indoor camera though :thinking:
