External Drive and the power jack on the 7 port USB hub

Hi, would it be ok to plug the power cord to an external HDD into the powered charging port in the 7Port USB 3.0 Data hub?

As long as the power is within the rated input power range 12v/ 3 amps and has the same size jack you’ll be fine.

If the power adapter isn’t 12v/3amp some/all of the ports will be underpowered.
