Just unboxed the cooler about an hour ago and have it charging. Already connected it to my app and confirmed the brightness level is on HIGH, but I can’t see it unless I cup my hands over the screen. Ideas? Did I get a dud? Oh, firmware is up to date too. Anyone out there having this issue?
Everfrost 40 lcd display is too dim
This cooler is really new on the market.
So I doubt that many here own and use it
Don’t expect an answer from the forumners here
I would suggest to ask the support for help
Try to take a picture of it if you can. That will help when dealing with support. I would take pictures of it on “HIGH” as well as “LOW” just to show the difference.
I do not have but will throw out something… check to make sure there is no plastic over the led screen. Sometimes you may have that to protect the screen…just a thought
Thank you all. I did reach out to Anker Support shortly before posting here. But in the 4 or 5 emails back and forth all we have determined is that I have the most up-to-date app version and my cooler’s firmware is updated too. They have been sent probably 10 different photos of my display from various angles, varying levels of surrounding light (daylight, shade, nighttime), screenshots from my phone proving I have the brightness level set to high, and even some comparing my Everfrost 40’s display beside my Powerstation 767’s display. Not sure what to do at this point. They can’t seem to determine if I even have a problem or if the display is just really really dim compared to literally every other display I’ve ever seen. I don’t know what to do at this point. I’ve used the cooler a bunch and honestly really love it…but the screen issue bums me out. I am concerned that if I do send it back for a replacement the next one will be the same…and then everyone’s time and money will have been wasted.
In case anyone has been following this and needs some resolution, it appears Anker says the dim screen is supposed to be that way. They did give me the option of either I send it back (I pay the shipping) or they send me back $30 for my troubles (very odd/random amount!).
Here’s what they sent back on our last communication:
*Thank you for your detailed response. *
*Sorry to hear that the firmware upgrade and APP upgrade didn’t help with the brightness. *
*Very regret to say that currently, we are currently unable to provide further assistance to improve the brightness of your refrigerator screen. This is not a quality issue, but rather a design feature. *
We apologize for any inconvenience caused by the screen brightness not meeting your expectations when in use.
