Eufycam Two Way Audio

Hi there,

A newbie here. Apologies if this is covered or asked before. I just got my Eufycam and been quite impressed thus far. Two questions I have:

  1. Are there any plans to have a delayed recording like many security cams have now. When the camera detects motion, on top of recording the video, it will also release a few sec of buffered video before the motion detection

  2. Is the camera supposed to operate on two way audio in Live mode? I can hear audio when I look at recordings and I could also speak to the person in front of the door through my app but I can’t hear any audio back from them. Is this a normal behaviour? Or is there any settings I can do to activate this?

Thanks!
Faisal

I don’t know the answer to your question. But in case you don’t know, before you post a question you should always search for the question. Cheers!

Hello @Faisal3, welcome to the community :slight_smile:

I’m unable to help on this particular question as I don’t have the Eufycams but @AnkerTechnical might be able to shed some light on this for you or another fellow member that has them.

@Faisal3 Welcome aboard buddy!

I haven’t heard any plan to add this feature for eufycam. Only wired security cams have that option. Latest Arlo’s have that option when connected to the power source (plugged in or solar) @AnkerSupport @AnkerTechnical Any plans to add this feature?

Yes. Ensure microphone is turned ON in Camera settings. It works, not great as you may have a delay/lag but functional.

Thanks @Ice1!

We don’t have any plans to add a delayed recording for the moment, but this suggestion has come up quite a bit. With that being said, if it’s possible, we’ll do what we can to make the triggering of recording delay as quickly as possible!

You are welcome @AnkerSupport :bow:
Honestly, I like that feature and I do understand you will have to sacrifice little bit of battery life for that, and I’m in for that.

Hey, thanks mate. Didn’t realise the mic setting as I always have my mobile on landscape mode and the mic option is not there when you do. Silly me but quite perculiar that the option disappears when you go full screen.

Anyway, thanks again!!

@Faisal3 you are welcome bro!
I know you are in live mode to access the settings. Another (easier) way to go to settings is Devices -> click on the gear :gear: icon for the device (on the top right corner of the thumbnail)
