I installed a 2-camera Eufycam E system. I am very happy with every thing except for 2 things.
First, I wish the motion sensor would work with movements a little further away. But, I believe that is not technically possible at this price point.
Second, it appears that the recording starts a few seconds AFTER the motion sensor “sees” something. I can stand in one spot where I know the sensor works and dance around like a fool. It will take 4 or 5 seconds before the recording starts. The notification works and the image is great. But, if someone triggers the motion detector, they will have a few seconds to break in before the recording starts. That doesn’t help me much. Is there a way to make the recording start more quickly?
Eufycam E record delay
All wireless (battery powered) cameras do this. Its just a price to pay for wireless. That being said, the eufyCam has one of the fastest notifications for a battery operated camera.
Hello! @loftisphoto Thanks so much for your great feedback and suggestion! At the current stage, the camera still needs a few seconds (about 3-5 seconds) to be triggered for video recording after detecting motion. As to the maximal distance for detection of an object, depending on the height and angle, the sensor of camera can detect objects with temperature moving as far as 25-30ft (8-10m) away in a general way. We’ve forwarded your expectation to our engineer team. We would try our best to shorten the time period for camera triggering and work with movements further away by firmware upgrade in the future!
