EufyCam 2E without Internet

Hi, a couple of times I’ve been unable to switch my cams ON. This morning I’ve been unable to switch them OFF! My app (iOS and Android) complaining about the Homebase being unaccessible. After a noisy wakeup of the whole family, I’ve discovered my Homebase was blinking orange “No Internet connection”. BTW, during about 2 hours, all I’ve been able to do is make my cams face the wall to prevent detection until I’ve been able to switch the complete system OFF. I’m sure my Internet connection was fully functional (computers and other devices), my Homebase is wire connected to the router (+wifi as failover). I suspect it was the Anker servers that were down. This lead me to a question : is it possible to access my Homebase with the mobile app from the LAN only ? If not, this is a most required feature, I (we all) need to be able to access the system even if Internet is OFF and/or the Anker servers are OFF. But maybe I missed a key point somewhere.
Any idea ? Thanks.

Hi @Big_Papoo hopefully your cameras are a bit more stable now? If you are unable to switch off the cameras via the app I would suggest hard rebooting the Homebase (unplug from wall), which in most cases will sort the issues you’ve mentioned. To answer a few of your other questions;

Sometimes firmware updates can cause systems to hang / await a hard reboot (has it happen once since I’ve had mine)

Unfortunately it isn’t (that I’m aware of) and has been raised before.

Hi @ndalby, thanks for your reply. I will have a hard reboot but not being able to access my Homebase from LAN is a shame. I didn’t notice that when I purchased my cams. I wanted something standalone which I thought it was (local storage, no cloud, no fee) but it isn’t. If servers are down and even more, if Anker closes its doors, we will all be left with nice useless cams! This issue must surely be addressed in my opinion.
