hi
can someone explain to me the wiring for eufy doorbell (should one of them be nuteral and the other wire 16v to 24v)
i want to know so i buy the correct transformer (i live outside of the US)
hi
can someone explain to me the wiring for eufy doorbell (should one of them be nuteral and the other wire 16v to 24v)
i want to know so i buy the correct transformer (i live outside of the US)
You need either a 16v or 24v transformer, polarity doesn’t matter, just connect across the output
Transformer like this you connect to the 2 outer terminals
Transformer like this you connect to the first terminal & either the 3rd or 4th terminal
i need a small transformer like the one you showed but for 220~240v 60hz (cant find one)
50hz / 60hz doesn’t really effect transformers
Using 60hz just increases the transformers current handling capabilities
220v -240v you are unlikely to see but you will see 220v, 230v or 240v, this is due to the output being a percentage of the input eg;
a 220v to 16v will give you 17.4v on 240v
a 240v to 16v will give you 14.6v on 220v
a 220v to 24v will give you 26.2v on 240v
a 240v to 24v will give you 22v on 220v
A 230v to 24v will give you 22.9v on 220v or 25v on 240v
Some transformers will show 50/60hz though
sorry for my lack of knowledge but do you mean i can use 50hz transformer for my 60hz electric circuit? (i have 220v 60hz)
if not will etek transformer you showed work for me?
Yes you can use a 50hz transformer on 60hz
so if i input 220v 60hz to 220~240 50hz transformer i get 8~24v 60hz output?
the transformer won’t change the frequency to 50hz instead of 60hz ?(eufy support says their doorbell is 60hz)
Frequency out is the same as the input, 60hz in means 60hz out
A transformer can’t change the frequency
I see, so this transformer will work for me even if says input is 50hz
also final question i have these two transformer available locally will they work with eufy doorbell (voltage seems low on the first one and the second one i need two transformer each output 12v to get a total of 24v)
You could use 2 of the first one which will give you the option of 16v, 20v or 24v
You will need a multimeter to confirm that they are in phase (adds voltage) not out of phase (removes voltage)
If out of phase you will have 8v, 4v or 0v
this one seems to be of good quality and ship directly to my country
can one transformer handle 3 video doorbells, or do i have to buy 3 transformers for them to work properly?
@AnkerOfficial @AnkerTechnical
I have previously asked them for the spec required, without knowing the current draw it’s not possible to say
That transformer is 1.25a at 24v (40va), I’d hope it can run 3
