Not sure where to report a bug, so I decide to write something here and hoping Eufy can see it.
I just installed an eufy outdoor cam. It works very well except one thing I noticed. I can set motion detection to “human”, “pet” and “all other motion”, that’s the setting for what to record. And I have another similar setting in notification. That’s for when I get message from the app. If I select only “human” in both places, what happens is when a human enter the detection zone the camera will start recording and send me notification. That’s perfect. But if I want to record all the movement and only want to see the notification for human, that will be a problem. In this case I need to select all the options in motion detection page, then only select human in notification page. Now what eufy cam does is a little different. When a non-human movement starts (light change, car parked, animal passed and etc.) the camera starts recording, the same time on board AI thinks this is not human movement and decide not to send notification. But during this recording period a human entered the zone, there will be no notification. A very common scenario would be: A car parked -> camera start recording -> driver gets off the car and walks away -> No notification!
Overall I think the camera decides if to send notification or not at very beginning instead of constantly checking human movement. Really hope eufy can get this right and make the product perfect.
