I’m trying to link my eufy cam with google assistant.
When I open the google assistant app, go to home control and try to add a device I can search for Eufy Securiy. When I try to link using my google account it says “Something went wrong. Try again.”
Eufy cam and google assistant
Hello! @csampson Sincerely apologize for all inconvenience caused! This issue is caused by the latest upgrade of smart home in google assistance. Our engineer team is discussing with google now. Since it mainly occurs in IOS system, if you have a smartphone with Android system, you can have a try on linking your devices to it again. We’ll try our best to resolve this issue as soon as possible. Sincerely thank you for your valuable time.
I experience the same when I want to connect the account from Eufy with Google assistant.
Open the google assistant app (I’ve an iPhone 10)
Click on the profile photo in the upper right corner.
Choose tab Assistant.
Choose Operation for the home ("Bediening voor in huis" in Dutch. )
Click on the bottom right on the + (Add device ("Apparaat toevoegen" in Dutch))
Click on magnifying glass in the upper right corner.
Type Eufy…
Click at eufy security.
Click at "PAIRING ACCOUNTS" (In Dutch "ACCOUNTS KOPPELEN").
“Something went wrong. Try again.” (In Dutch Er is iets verkeerd gegaan. Probeer het opnieuw).
I will try it this weekend also on my Android TV (Philips 55OLED803). But apparently I need to side load the apk package "Google home" because in the Play store it is not available.
I can confirm that using my Android tablet with the Google Assistant app worked for me.
Make sure you select the Eufy account and not your Google account.
