Eufy 15C Issues

First post here, hoping I can get some help. We’ve had a Robovac 15c for a little over a year and it’s been awesome to help keep dog hair at bay. However, lately I’ve noticed that one of the spinning brushes (the front left if you are looking at the vac from the front) doesn’t spin as steadily as the other. If it is on our hard floors it makes a grinding noise as it spins and doesn’t appear to be as productive in helping the vac do it’s job.

Has anyone else experienced something similar, and what was done to repair it?

Is there an avenue to order replacement parts for these? I’m not certain if my wife submitted the form to get the robovac warrantied after we purchased it. I work in electronics repair for a living so if I can get a new motor I’m not afraid to dissect and repair it myself.

Thanks for any help!

You could try popping off the side brush to see if there is any hair or debris tangled underneath it. Also, feel free to reach out to support@eufylife.com for additional assistance.

Hi @dustin_osgood welcome to the community :wave:t2:
I don’t have a Robovac but do have a GTech sweeper with similar spinning brushes.
When mine started to make grinding noises it was down to the gears being chewed. I just had to replace the brushes and it was as good as new.
As @TechnicallyWell mentions, whip the brush off and see what’s going on under there.

So I’ve cleaned the area around the brush and replaced the brush itself, it still grinds and spins slowly. I’m thinking the next step is to take the brush assembly apart/remove it from the vac.

Might be worth investigating what the drive mechanism is.
Looking at the bottom of the brushes they seem to fix over a square spindle n the vac, i’m not sure if that spindle is direct driven or have drive gears.

Same model, started having the same problem so I tore down. You’re likely in the same boat here. But the gear(s) that spin the brush are worn and no longer catching due to missing/worn teeth.
I’m still trying to figure out a resolution and intend to reach out to the manufacturer on it…

This is an old thread, but since nobody posted the results I’ll chime in. This is a chronic Robovac problem, the gears will all eventually fail like this, and Anker is not supporting us after the warranty (within 1 year, they will send you a new motor assembly, just swap it out). Now, you can buy them from China on Ebay with a couple months delivery. Some are selling 3D printed gears on Ebay as well, and I 3D printed my own (some on Thingiverse) but it was hard and unproven, I’m on day 4. This is bad on Anker, our Robovacs will all die a premature death and they want us to buy a new one. For now, I’d say order a couple spares on Ebay so you have them when you need them, but note only if you are pretty handy, it’s a complete disassembly to fix this.
