EQ Settings for EQ Noob

I’ve always enjoyed listening to music, primarily rock and all types of genres of metal. Most EQ’s aren’t designed to handle the heaviness of said metal.

But, I’m 100% a noob when it comes to custom EQ settings. I’m on the SoundCore app and when I go into Custom EQ, I’ve been messing with it and I have no clue what I’m doing.

Do you Ankerites have any resources or anything to help a brother out?

Thanks in advance!

You can check this thread on Soundcore community posted by @ktkundy. The article is pretty informative so should be a good start. You can mess with Soundcore’s EQ after reading some tips

I would definitely recommend the link that I had posted on the Soundcore community. A lot is then figuring out what you like. Everyone’s ears are different so once you kind of understand the basics you can start trying things out to see what you like and in turn what you also don’t like.

Adjusting an eq depends on many things

Your listening ability, the quality of the recording, the speaker, your preferred “sound” and the location of the speaker of course.

The location of the speaker is mostly underestimated, though its really important.

There have been a lot written about at the soundcore forum.

You should go there and read more.
