Ha ha… True… better than bunch of USB cables
Donate $75 to help three great causes and you'll receive a tech bundle valued at $250 or more
Really? 10 high class ANKER cables would have been fine as well.
@Shenoy I’m in the same boat as you. No JBL headphones but a bunch of iClever stuff and some headphones branded Origem that maybe worth $100. Few other items work maybe $20 each. I’m pretty bummed if I’m being honest, as the touted $250 value was shenanigans, mine was maybe $140. No Anker
Oh well, guess we still donated to charity. Time to get back to earning those PowerBucks and getting Anker items the hard way
@Shenoy @apsavarese
Glad you guys got your boxes, some items better than other but at least the money spent was for a good cause
Go in Twitter and complain to Rick
Thanks for the Twitter backup friend!
Your welcome
I will join as well
There is a big comment list on the Main event site on CNET… I think they should have clearly provided count of all kinds of products and showing the total of items which would have been in the mystery box… Basically Expectation Setting was not done. It is a charity, what we got is bonus
Oh man is there a conversation going on the cnet site! Lots of unhappy people. I’m tempted to write them an email–just to express my concerns, not to rant.
I already listed my most expensive item on eBay
This reminds me.of Anker … Telling me in as many words I’d get a wakey, then not!
I mean they’re claiming the Amazon card is worth 40… My arse! If you already have audiobook you don’t qualify, or if.like 90% of the world, Don’t do audiobooks, so really value is just 10 and that’s if it’s not reliant on using audio first???
I know the vast majority done this donation on the basis of getting 250 worth of quality goods for 60 (well 80 with tax n shipping … How come you pay tax on a donation?)
If the value of the box doesn’t match the description, you could if you feel aggrieved enough, cancel your payment.
There was a tax… since the products in box will incur tax though proceeding will go to charity donation.
Oh, but it’s probably still tax deductible?
Unless you donate a significant amount to charity and file an itemized deduction then it wouldnt matter as the amount is too low to matter
This is too small an amount to get into itemized deductions… I usually go for standard deductions, saves a lot of time and stress …
I can’t blame them for being unhappy. This will make people not want to participate anymore
Watch you be a lucky one and get at least an anker cable
