For power outages I use a Bolder LC130 pointed to ceiling when I need a lamp without mains power.
Oh would this be helpful to one of my friends today. Zeta caused some power outages in downtown and my friend is out of power since 4am. Thankfully nothing up here just 20-25 miles above. Just crazy rains between about 3 am or so to 6/7am
Just remember this product is only 100Wh, so the 160W would last… (guessing) 40 minutes.
The very people who want this to power high power items, will then very quickly hit the fact it’s just an inverter added to a Powercore 26800.
I’d only advise people who are less technical to balance the Wattage with the Watt-hours to be aware of what it can and cannot do.
I assume 3 days of power outages and we’re running on flashlights and phones and keep LC40, LC90, LC130 and multiple Powercore, as well as keep two camping stove (one propane for outside cooking, e.g. meat) another alcohol for indoor cooking e.g. tea, rehydrating meals) with 3+ days of fuel. I have 26800 + 20000 + 3 10000 = 2.9x times the energy of this.
If people want to get both AC power and last power outages then they should consider the 200Wh or 400Wh alternatives, accepting these cannot be flown with and are larger and higher cost.
Right tool for the problem.
Of course I understand a small device so Powerhouse is more appropriate to charge more devices. But atleast charging your phone can help stay in touch with classmates and professors
A Powercore 10000 can do that too and be smaller to have with you all the time for any situation.
Not saying bad product but this is uniquely able to be flown with and has AC outlet. That being able to be flown with means it runs for less time and less Wattage. The same 100Wh energy is either DC only Powercore 26800 or add AC in this Powerhouse 100.
Fortunately we have this community so any who come here seeking power outage solutions we can list their needs and direct them. This may be the perfect solution for some. Example good fit is someone flying with an AC only CPAP.
Maybe 1 or 2 smaller power banks and the solar charger is more beneficial for prolonged outages if only doing phones and small gadgets.
Pretty cool but for my needs the Powercore 20000 has me covered
hmmm interesting
