In among the notifications bug of I’m always getting days and week old notifications, mostly from ndalby , I just now sent a mail to someone, went into messages and then noticed a 2 day old message I never got notified about. Mail shows up as a green icon above your avatar.
I may have imagined it, but if someone else can go to their mail and see an unread message? May then help to know if its a bug or my error.

OK doing a test, sent you a mail. If you not got a notification then we proved there is a bug.
Right, you got it correctly. I’m not getting as the green top left, they seem to be in the right right blue , might be then they get swamped by the fake past notifications resurfacing.
Not enough evidence to flag as bug (yet).

Odd, so you just see a blue notification for direct messages?
Figured it out. Not a bug really.
If in a message someone @ you, then it becomes a blue upper right, not a green upper left. If they simply reply it becomes a green upper left.
Then the fact all of ndalby old replies swamp my screen so I simply never noticed a mail message. So it’s not a new bug but a quasi consequence of the bug we all know and experience.

if someone replies to an @ tag i just get that as a blue notification.
I only get a green notification for a direct message only.
A direct message which includes in the body an @ moves it from green to blue. Sending you a message to see if I’m smoking something.

Odd that it changes it from blue to green.
I would have thought it would still be green as its a direct message.
Weird, mines always remained green for a direct message, even if I was tagged within it 
Did a side test with Paul we proved it! Test message with @ inside stays blue (and so can be hidden in the many other blue notifications) but if no @ then stays green.
I’ll send you two test messages, in sequence to see if you see what we see…
Lets send pms a lot.
Some will get green and some blue notifications.
Hope that will not start quarrels who are the better members!
