Coffee and Tea Club ☕ (or “The Finer Things Club”)

I guess it’s all a matter of opinion.

That tea seems to have very high ratings on amazon. I’ll check my local market to see if they have that tea

Coffee or tea, served hotter than 180 degrees, will most likely burning tongue effect, leave alone the tea being tasted, you lose your taste buds sometimes for the entire day

My wife usually buys some organic whole beans from costco and then I grind them up and do single servings with this…

and a side note, to all the black coffee drinkers…

lol, I’m kidding, but it’s still funny. I give my buddy a hard time who drinks his black.

The finer things club? I am definitely not supposed to be here.

I usually brew at 210, and then let it cool to 160 after steeping

Brewing can happen at higher temperature, the serving temperature needs to be less than 180 deg!

Well I make my tea the night before, put tea in cup, leave it covered then microwave in the morning. Properly strong tea.

I have tried that, it tastes good and strong, have also tried it with hint of lemon in the black tea, adds to taste (though this differs from person to person)

Yup, metal filter. Its fine so water doesn’t just rush right through it. Lasted me 2 years already.

You should try a Samowar!

Thats perfect.
What is most important is the refinement of that filter and the durability.
I use simple paper filters and a porcelain MELITTA.
But we use the same method.
I know other machines for coffee.
Really eye catchers if used on the table.
Will show tommorow.
Should take a look at the bar (beer)!

A few teas I enjoy:
Earl Grey (with milk)
Jasmine Green
Black Tea with boba (and milk and brown sugar)

I would say Taylor’s of Harrowgate and Twinings seem about equal in taste; both are better than Bigelow’s in my opinion.

I have tried rooibos as well; it’s a good noncaffeinated tea that’s much lighter in color than black tea.

Other recommendations for tea with lower or no caffeine?

Have you tried any green teas? They have far lower caffeine content generally
