Charging LG Gram laptop

My new LG Gram laptop can be charged USB C and when I hook up this

Anker PowerPort III Duo 36W, iPhone 12 Compatible, White/Black

to it, it says it is a very low power source and the battery indicator says it will take 4 hours to charge 10%. So should I be buying this https://www.anker.com/products/variant/65w-piq-30-typec-charger/A2713021

instead?

You do need to be more precise here with the exact model as “LG Gram” is vague, covers two sizes with different power needs.

Yes a more powerful charger will help but a quick search of LG Gram USB charging shows patchy results.

Make sure you buy from Ankerdirect so if it doesn’t work then return quickly easily for refund.

Model 15Z995 RASS9U1

I’m seeing its native barrel charger is 65W, 19V and A > 3 so I’d seek USB-C charger similar. I see you’re in USA so I’d suggest buy this

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B086YGHRNP

And try it, if doesn’t perform well then return quickly. The one you linked to may also work but this one is smaller and if works well and you like it may be smaller for you and it uses PPS which is a more modern standard and based on USA prices is same cost possibly better.

Make sure you buy from Ankerdirect for excellent support.

This is not a direct answer to your question as LG has not documented what their USB-C input port will work with so it’s left to just guesswork. So my guess is the nearest Voltages to their barrel charger is most likely to work. The charger you linked to and the one I linked are both 65W and so both good guesses to what LG may support, but until someone who bought an LG Gram tries it, we can’t really know.
