Car Phone Mounts

Hey so I’m looking to get my brother a phone mount for his car. I was wondering if anyone had recommendations or just ones that they use on the daily basis. I don’t want to get him one and then have his phone break and have him coming after me.

I’ve had 2 Anker car mounts. Both were awesome and never had any problems with. The first isn’t available anymore but the 2nd was this. I just slipped the accompanying plate in my phone case and it was solid.

I’ve moved on to a wireless charging phone mount now (from another brand :fearful: ) because Anker didn’t have one available in the UK when I got my new iPhone. If your brother has a wireless charging phone. I’d get the wireless charging mount.

I had a magnetic mount too but had to give it up when I upgraded phone. :pensive:

I’ve been using this one that a Chinese company sent me to test last year and I’ve been using it ever since as it’s a great, study phone mount that holds my phone securely in place, even when going over speed bumps etc and it doesn’t budge one bit.

I have and used this mount from Anker for the longest time

But now I have and use this Anker wireless car mount, click the pic to go to their Amazon page

I don’t know what’s worse the fact that you are cheating with non anker products or the fact you have the Arsenal crest as your phones background :scream::scream:

The magnetic one is excellent! So much easier to just place on the mount when I need to get moving.

I will admit, that I too am ‘cheating’ on Anker with another company… (hangs head shamefully).

I’ve never been one for putting large clunky or awkward car products on my dash. If I am going to have something on the dash of my vehicle, I want it to look … pleasing as well as serve a purpose. I don’t want to just slap some big chunky thing on my dash.

For 7 years running I’ve been using an iOttie Easy View because it’s sleek and the little sticky suction cup has not failed me once.iOttie Easy View JPG

It has a nice appearance, is spring loaded with a little button in the middle to ‘release’ the spring once your phone is in place. It’s been great. It’s only been recently that I’ve started looking for a decent, sturdy QI-capable car mount and most of them look… pretty fugly in my opinion. And I’ve never been a fan of attaching ANY kind of mount to my air vents as those are not designed to have weights hanging off of them and can break pretty easily.

I keep hoping Anker will come up with a nice sleek design that makes me run out and buy one immediately, like so many of their other goodies I own. :slight_smile:

I’ve heard of iOttie and was looking into them as well because they also seem to have great mounts for a cheap ish price

The Easy View that I bought was originally close to $40 but is only about $9 now. I’m actually considering modifying my Easy View with an Anker QI Powerport so that it has wireless charging but keeps it’s sleek appearance.

I’ve been using the CD slot mount Anker Car Mount for several years and it works great.
