So, my speaker used to work, but all of sudden it does not work. It only works as a headset which means that I can hear music but I can also hear when I speak with a terrible echo. I don’t know what to do, since I am not sure I can return it anymore. It pairs, won’t pair to play music only.

Have you tried a reset of the speaker?
You could find the howto by searching here (magnifier upper right corner)
Normally its pressing the bt and the on/off button simultaneously ca 10 seconds.
