Can't connect (G10) robovac to Ubiquity WiFi AP

I’ve been trying to connect my brand new G10 to my wifi access point with is Ubiquity for more than an hour and it just won’t work. Everything seems normal until it reaches 50-60% on the app and then the blue light on the robovac starts flashing faster and shortly later it fails on the app.

It supports both 2.4 and 5 GHZ
AP is on latest firmware

-I tried with normal wifi AP settings (iphone would be on the 5ghz). Failed
-I tried having both mobile and robovac on the 2.4 frequency. Failed
-I tried making a Wifi hotpost with another iphone and use my main iphone to launch the eufyhome app. Worked fine.

Any help is appreciated

Turns out that TCP port 8886 had to be open outbound from the vacuums IP which would otherwise cause the app pairing with the vacuum to fail.

The interesting thing is that not only the pairing was failing, but it wouldn’t even “stay” on the wifi network after it connected (I could see that it was momentarily connected from the AP’s console) so it made it look like the problem was Wifi compatibility related of some sort.
