Hi! I’m looking for a USB C charging cable for my Nintendo Switch, but I can’t find anything on the descriptions about the cables having a 56 K Ohm resistor, which cable would you recommend?

The 56kohm resistor is only needed for USB-A to USB-C cables, is this the type of cable you want? Or are you looking for a USB-C to USB-C cable?

Yes! that’s the kind of cable I want to get. On a separate note, a USB C to USB C cable doesn’t require that resistor?
Correct, a USB-C to USB-C cable does not require the pull up resistor because by design its able to handle more current and power. If you want, google search Benson Leung and see what he wrote and discovered about this

All Anker USB-C to USB-A cables have the needed resistor. It is a part of the normal spec for that cable type. Some cables a few years ago were poorly made and missing it. But that is not often the case today.
The resistor is to prevent damage to the USB-A charger from the USB-C device overdrawing. USB-C devices expect up to 3A support. But most USB-A chargers don’t go that high. If both are designed right there isn’t an issue. The resistor is a safety measure in case the device does what it shouldn’t. USB-C to USB-C don’t need it, because the overdraw issue is unique to USB-C to USB-A connections.

Awesome! So, any usb a to usb c anker cable would do? I already have a usb c to usb c for my laptop, but I want usb c to usb a for my powerbank and some other outlets around the house.

Any Anker USB-C to USB-A cable is safe and will provide the same power pass through. For just charging stick with the cheaper USB 2.0 cables.
