That’s a great price for 500ml bottles.

20 bottles a 1/2 L for 13 Euros. 1L = 1,30 Euros
That’s OK.

There are cheaper ones of course, but those for me have no taste.
I you get used to that “light” stuff. Very good taste for 2.9%

Have you ever tasted non alcoholic beer, Paul?

Its all about buying what you like.

I used to buy wine and the price went up £2, i started buying cheaper ones and didn’t enjoy.
I now buy the wine i like and pay the extra. If you have the budget it makes sense to buy what you enjoy rather than to save just a little and buy second best.

Thats it Paul.
Only boozers will buy cheap stuff.
Never forget, what you drink and eat gets into your body, not clothes etc. and all other things we spend money on.

I have found that buying good stuff from the brewer is still pretty cheap. I only pay $2/pint at full retail price when I buy growlers at my brewery.

So sugar is contained in all plants along with a great many other chemicals which impacts flavour. You can make beer purely from such plant material like barley, or you can make it with less barley and add refined sugar. The latter often works cheaper and is less flavoursome. For example USA Budweiser uses rice and less barley and is awful to my taste.

Irish Red on tap this week…

The color struck me so much when I poured it I had to post a shot of it here. :beers:

My nearest good pub finally is doing delivery and collection so that will lower the minimum order. The loophole under current law is it must be food + beer not just beer as then their license permits. I was in there telling the landlord the week before lockdown to buy things to see through lockdown, the businesses who find a way to sell will survive then have a more open market when the businesses who didn’t adapt cease to exist.

Same is with portuguese beer (Sagres, Superbock).
Rice and not very tasty, because there are many preservatives and other “things” added.
But why drinking beer in this lovely country, wine is excellent.

Seems me, the old boozer is quite alone!

Offer from LIDL.

Do you know this stuff my friends from UK?

Can’t say I’ve seen them but I’m not too much of a craft beer chap / connoisseur

Had most of those @Chiquinho can recommend.

Yes know of Marston’s, particularly Pedigree. Never heard of the other, looks disgusting.

@chiquinho this type of alcohol has become popular in the US. The one that comes to mind is this:

“Not your fathers’ root beer”

Huh, never heard of that one. Does it taste like root beer, but with alcohol?

Pretty much. The alcohol is actually not very noticeable. That’s the angle with this as well as those white claws and other alcoholic seltzer - something that tastes like a soft drink but with alcohol.

Rootbeer = “Wurzelbier” :rofl:
Never tried, kind of lemonade I suppose.

No. Lemonade is nicer.

Dare I share a great cider I tried this weekend…
But this South African cider is awesome.
I love a Granny Smith Apple but can’t say I’d ever see a cider made from them.
Debs spotted this and picked one up for me, wish she had got a case.
If ciders float your boat give this a try.

I know cider.
Last year in when we were in the north of France.
We drank it.
Very common there.
In UK/Ireland this is a well known beverage, but not here.
But from South Africa?
The wines are not bad.
But why carry those things (wines and cider) around the world when we have those home made?

This “X” reminds me of
warnzeichen_kunststoff

this means “harmful substances” :rofl::rofl:

Be careful Paul!
