So quite a way from a slight blue tint and Berry overtones the blurb suggests.
Good job you didn’t buy a mini barrel!

I remember I was gifted a 5L mini barrel some time ago from
our University brewery.
Yes, the TU München runs a small testing brewery in Freising.
Our chair helped them often out with computer probs so we got free beer.
Was a perfect “joined venture”.

I had to empty this barrel alone.
Was no problem, took not so much time. :joy:

5 liter isn’t so much for a skilled beer drinker and the beer was excellent.
Prosit from München to the friends here!

Hoping it was a singleton… you know the rule with whiskeys, is start with the best first, so by the time you get to the third or fourth you go to the lessor ones.

Perhaps some planning to have this one last may have helped…

I have had a couple of sours, one was a kettle sour and was okay, and another was a milkshake sour, w/ passion fruit. It was actually quite good.

If your not used to kombucha and fermented sours, they can be a bit to take.

Was this the first sour you’ve had of late @paulstevenewing

Well thats a perfect relationship Franz, beer for help!
I’m sure you took the challenge of “emptying the barrel” seriously - good work

Hey @TheSnarkyOne
It was the first and last sour that I’ll taste.
I don’t think leaving it till last would have helped

I think it’s just not my kind of drink.

“sour beer” Paul?
We have a saying here.
“That sells like sour beer”.
Sour means its spoiled.

Thats perfect Franz.
Sour beer definitely tastes like its spoiled.
Well, that’s my opinion! :face_vomiting:

I am wondering if a brewery would label a beer here
“Sauer Bier”!
No chance to sell.
Only the attribute “sauer” would never invite a beer drinker to taste that stuff.

Well heres a funny drop of beer.
Coffee, oat breakfast stout.
Should this be drunk at breakfast?

Not my usual choice but drinking it chilled isn’t too bad.

What have you guys got to drink for the weekend?

Nothing fancy, just a regular beer here. My 2md of the night, we’ll see how many I drink tonight

Do you know what “balaclava” means?

Hope you were wearing such one when having that stuff!

Hi Franz. Yes, we have balaclavas here too. We use them to rob banks with.
The stout was OK, I wouldn’t drink it regularly. It’s a bit heavy for my taste.

So how many did you drink @ikari04warrior?

Only 9. We got a 24 pack and my friend was drinking faster than me lol. How was your weekend?

Here guys :raised_hand_with_fingers_splayed:t2:
Here we are again, the start of another weekend.
It’s been a crazy week which I think deserves a chill out beer.
Another Maibock from Brewmaster, this time a premium at 6.5%.

Whatever you’re drinking this weekend have fun and stay safe.

Do you know what “Bock” means?
Its a ram or a buck.
So be careful!
And the rams are not only very busy in May also in winter.
