Battery pack for project

Hi,

I’m trying to use a 10000mAh powercore redox to power a small data logging device. However, the power pack seems to stop supplying power after a few minutes. The load is around 40mA.

Is it possible to keep the power pack supplying power with a voltage to one of the pins on the USB connection? Or is the demand too low making the power pack think it’s fine it’s job?

Thanks

Slightly baffled…

You need to enable trickle charge mode which can be done by holding down the power button for 2 to 3 seconds after the powrrbank is turned on.

you will be able to tell if trickle charge mode is on if the first light turns green.

It worked, but only for 2hours. :frowning: Then it switched off anyway.

www sleuthing ahoy!

You could plug in something to the free USB type a port that consumes just enough power to keep it on. . I believe the output needs to be above 60mh (combined USB type a port and USB type-c port) to keep the power bank active.

Sorry I didn’t realize there would be a 2 hour auto shut-off on the trickle charge mode
