Getting on a saturated bandwagon.
But they will sell, whatever the price @Imo_Iri

The main reason i’m going to buy them is for the crowdsourcing feature. It’ll beat out all the competition including Tile.

I’ve seen tile go for as low as $20

Tile’s can get even cheaper than $20. I have 3 and I got them all at once in a bundle because literally every (US) holiday they have a sale, I’m also Beta Testing their app which gives me free access to premium features. Apple never lets people do stuff like that. Yes, I own an iPhone. No reason why, but other than that, I kinda don’t like what Apple has become.

I guess since you’re beta testing the app so you get premium for free but for everyone else the app has a monthly subscription you have to pay for “advanced” features like smart alerts while with most other bluetooth trackers you don’t and the features come free with the app. I’ve also heard a lot of mixed reviews about the connectivity of Tile. Lastly Tile hasn’t made a rechargeable tracker rather (at least with the newer ones) you have to buy new batteries every year.
Personally, I’ve considered getting chipolo or cube trackers because their app is completely free and they have better features, Cube even has a rechargeable tracker, but their communities are dwarfed in comparison to Tile.
In fact, I’d argue that the only place where tile beats other bluetooth trackers is their community for the crowdsourcing feature.
However, when the airtags come out the community will be composed of everyone who has an iPhone with iOS 13 and up(iPhone 6s and later) which is way more than the amount of tile users. This means the community crowdsourcing feature will be way better than Tiles. There are also speculations that the airtag will be rechargeable, I say speculations because there is evidence both for and against them being rechargeable. The airtags will also be more accurate than other bluetooth trackers like Tile because of their ultra-wideband technology. There hasn’t really been any solid evidence about the price yet :man_shrugging: so I won’t touch on that.
I guess since you already have some Tile trackers and get free premium its better to stay with tile but for me, the fact that the airtags have more advanced specs and are my last line of defense if my belongings are stolen or lost is enough to make me wait for them to be released.

Heres some more info on the airtags if you’re interested:
