Any watch enthusiast here?
Hi… I can’t find any info on this old watch of my grandmother’s and was hoping someone here might have some ideas about it. It says “perfekta” and “anker 17 rubis” but on go ogling and searching I’ve come up with nothing… Like these watches never existed! I don’t expect it to be worth anything, but it’s a mystery watch to me!
Perfecta is a trading mark from Helios.
The made pocket watches mostly.
Nice because the indices are little “diamonds” (glass of course)

If the watch works, wear and enjoy it. ( It’s not of high value)
But for you its a personal memory.
Thanks!
I’ve seen perfecta watches on my online travels, what threw me off was the spelling “perfekta”, not “perfecta” and having “anker 17 rubis” underneath it! Very strange and couldn’t find anything else like it.
I’m beginning to think it was a cheap copy using both names? My grandmother died 1986 and I’m not sure how long she had it. It’s a mystery watch haha.
Thanks again for the reply.
Hi… No the glass is clear. Its a rubbish photo sorry. It’s just a very strange watch lol, and I’m intrigued where on earth she got it from now!
If it really says Perfekta (k) it is just a cheap copy, that’s quite true.
A look at the movement would allow to say more about.
But please dont try to open!
You may find out more about, when doing some research at specialised watch forums.
Ah i can see it better now @Vicky_Matthews
Must have been the light reflecting off the gold face.
Today I’ve been rocking the G-Shock Mudman.
Great watch, rather large.
I often get comments “is it a smart watch” often ill reply “yes, it tells the time!”.
The confusion on peoples faces is priceless
Hmm let me call up my buddy who’s an expert on watches
Don’t get me started, LOL!
Currently, I own a Seiko diver, a Hamilton Khaki Field, and a vintage Omega Seamaster. I’ve got my eye on a Rolex GMT-Master II as my next piece—it’s been a dream watch for a while now. As for what I’m currently in the market for, I’ve been eyeing some vintage chronographs lately, but nothing specific yet.
Oh, and speaking of watches, if you’re ever interested in adding a touch of luxury to your collection without breaking the bank, I recently stumbled upon some watches that are seriously impressive. They’re a fraction of the cost but look just like the real deal. Might be worth checking out if you’re into that classic Nautilus look.
I totally agree with you on the history behind the GMT-Master and the Pan Am connection. It’s fascinating how the watch was born out of a real need for pilots to manage time zones—so much more practical than people realize. As for the “Pepsi” nickname, I think it’s funny how some folks get stuck on that, but it does give the watch character. I’ve seen some replica Rolex GMT-Master watches online, and while I’m not usually into clones, I’ve heard people talk about the [gmt super clone as being surprisingly good. Some of these replicas come pretty close to the real deal, though I’m not sure I could pull the trigger on one just yet. What’s your take on high-quality replicas?
