Any Anker horror stories?

First off, I love Anker, and their quality is generally top notch. If issues arise, Anker is there to help like no other company. That being said, there are times that you need help, and there are times that things fall through the cracks and a product has not performed to the best of its ability. What are some of your bad experiences with Anker products?

Item: Anker Air Vent Car Mount
Details: It was a Power User review item, and I had a need for it so I thought “Why not?” The way mounts like this work is that you put the prong against a vent so that they fit together like puzzles pieces, then you adjust the ball for the right viewing angle as you drive. The issue with this item was that it scratched up my vents because the design of the rubber that goes over the clips did not completely consume the clips. So, the vents scratched with the metal prongs coming out of their housing.

Things worked out as they normally do, but these vents are kinda scratched forever on my new car. My cousin didn’t mind the vent scratching, so he took it off my hands, and eventually threw it away as it was just as rough on his car as it was on mine.

I would like to note that this is not an issue with any other car mount released subsequent, and the item in question, here, is no longer sold. So, you win some you lose some.

The robovac ate my floor because it got stuck under a table at an angle and the wheels kept spinning until it shut itself off. But it was not completely Anker’s fault and they still responded great.

Hey, it’s no problem! Everything has been taken care of to everyone’s satisfaction. I opened this thread up so that people can discuss things that have gone wrong and have a laugh about it. I think it also shows that Anker takes care of its customers greatly.

I had the air vent mount and actually just put my own foam on the inside of the clips so that it would be a tighter fit… I guess this also helped me avoid the scratching that you had

My only horror story is trying every time for the recent discounted product giveaways and missing the codes even though I clicked exactly when they released… 200 isnt enough! lol
