This is my 3rd Anker Soundsync Drive. The first was great but after several months it stopped working so I ordered another.
When the second one came, when I tried to make a phone call by holding the button, the unit would power off instead.
I called customer service and they said they were sorry about the problem and sent me another one. This third one is doing the same thing. It works great with my music on my iphoneX through my car speakers but when I depress the button to try to place a phone call, it turns the unit off instead of allowing me to place a phone call.
What’s going on? The only thing different now between these last 2 units and my first was that now, I have an iphoneX where before I had an iphone6 Plus.
Anker Soundsync Drive turns off when holding button to make phone call
Do you have siri enabled on your iPhone?
In addition there is a new feature on the last iOS, call siri by pressing the lateral button, do you have it enabled?
And why you don’t just call with Ehi Siri? it’s much easier.
Thanks for your reply Flubber. Yes Siri is enabled and I use Siri for making some calls, but I keep my phone in a belt attached holster/case and Siri has difficulty hearing me. In answering a call I have to swipe the phone and this is unhandy and unsafe when driving.
If you receive a call, and you press only one time the button on Anker SoundSync Drive, you’ll answer the call? This Feature is working?
No, not on the one I just got last week. The incoming call does not come through either. Could it be the USB to car DC converter I have is bad?
strange, and if you make a call from your iphone, can you listen trough the car speakers?
@Flubber Thanks you for reply @larryadams1 Please know we have changed the SoundSync to the manually control version. To wake up Siri via the SoundSync, please double click the MFB button QUICKLY. Thanks
No, nothing comes through the car speakers except music.
Thx
Larry
I will try double clicking MFB button and post results later.
Thx
Larry
Double clicking MFB button worked enabling me to make call. Volume is very low and there is some feedback noise.
Did not have any noise or volume problem with first unit I had. Guess I will just have to live with these issues.
Thanks for all the help.
