I have owned my Soundcore Mini for a few months now and I love it!
First off, if you are looking for audiophile level sound quality, this is not for you.
Even though the sound is good, it is a little more heavy on the treble and bass ends of the sound spectrum.
On the sound, the bass blows me away for a speaker of this size. The sheer volume is better than speakers twice its size. The passive radiator inside the speaker produces some pretty tight and powerful bass for a speaker of this size. (A 2x1x1 cylinder) It starts to get a little muddy around full volume, but it doesn’t completely ruin the music. On the sound tests I did, it seems to be more oriented towards modern music, pop and hip hop. It sounds mediocre on classical, jazz, music of that sorts, but you would be better off spending your money elsewhere. But, if you do like to listen to modern music, this is by far the best value for your money. Also, it also connects to your device automatically if you were previously connected to it.
Battery life is also very good. On average, I manage to crank 12-13 hours of music at FULL VOLUME.
The build quality is also outstanding. But it’s Anker, so what else would I expect?
It has taken many hard falls and is no worse for wear. I use it in the shower with me and it hasn’t had any issues, due to it being water resistant. It can be sprayed with some amounts of water, but it can’t be completely submerged.
The controls on the side are pretty self explanatory, and are really easy to use, with a nice tactile feedback when you press them. My only complaint is that they should have a little display for the radio function, or else you don’t know what channel you are on.
Overall, this is a very nice little speaker, which has impressive volume and bass for a speaker of this size.
The battery life is outstanding, as is the build quality. It has some useful features contributing to the value of this speaker.
I think it is a must-buy for anyone who enjoys music on the go, and doesn’t want to carry around a big speaker with them.
