Anker Soundcore Mini 2 Video Review! (Plus Soundcore Brand Product Lineup Roundup)

As promised, here is my video review of Soundcore by Anker’s very first speaker… the Mini 2! It would mean a lot to me if you watched it! Also, be sure leave feedback, and let me know what I can do better in future video reviews.

Here are my three main issues with the speaker:

  1. Lack of USB-C
  2. Lack of BT 5.0
  3. Relatively high price

I also wanted to quickly recap all of the Soundcore products we know are coming in the next few months. Here is a list in alphabetical order with the approximate pricing and release date in parenthesis.

Great review Josh. The 3 links on your video kinda blocked the view towards the end but fab job indeed.

Loved the conveyer belt style b-roll and production :ok_hand:

Nice video! Thanks for listing the other devices. I didn’t realize how many devices Anker have coming out.

Many “new” things".
I think ANKER should reduce the number of devices.
e.g.
Does it make much sense to offer a Spirit and a Spirit pro, Spirit X?
What are the differences between this 3 models?
I think this variety of types of one device will lead to confusion.
What do you think about my friends?

The Spirit Series, which are three pairs of earbuds, each with different prices and battery lives. The Spirit is in-ear and the Spirit X has hooks. The Spirit Pro, gets a boost in sound from a Qualcomm chip, up to 10 hours of battery life

Thanks for responding elmo.

I would like to take a look at the specifications of these “different” models.

It would be really nice to “build” a special own model.
e.g. In ear with hooks and boost.
I think you know what I mean.
Like a “construction kit”.

That would be a good idea…but then your looking at semi custom earbuds and those could get pricey. I know of two companies that make customizable earbuds, one cost over $100, and the other is for pure audiophiles and cost upwards of a grand or more.

But, anker could just have your standard plane jane earbuds and a tuning kit that you can choose what style you want and can style witch them up. One kit will have earhooks, another will have earwings, and the third will have closed earwings…and maybe a fourth option to make them completely wireless sans the cord

Yes elmo, this was my idea.
As you proposed, regarding one type and these can be equipped with hooks, wings and so on.
Think its only a question of design and can be realized.

And I don’t think it is clever to offer a model with different battery life.
This is some kind suspect, you know what I mean.
All models should have the best duration possible.

Spirit Pro has just passed through the FCC, so we can probably expect it soon. Something interesting to note… it only has Bluetooth 4.2 compared with 5.0 on both the Spirit and Spirit X, though it will cost $10 more than both of those two.

(see my lineup breakdown above)

Motion B has passed through FCC… could be seeing it later this month.

Excellent info on the breakdown. It’s pretty difficult to tell exactly what these products actually are (speaker, earbud, etc) just by going by their names. Thanks for the info.

Thanks, I was going to include a picture of each one, but I thought that that would cause it to become awfully messy.

Liberty Lite has finally passed through the FCC. It’s still possible we see it launch on Monday as widely advertised.
