Anker Soundcore Liberty Air - Not auto connecting

Hi guys, I’m new to the forum after being very impressed with a few Anker products I’ve bought over the last year or so.

I recently bought some Soundcore Liberty Airs and even though the soundcore web site stating:

“One-Step Pairing ensures that after the initial setup is complete, Liberty Air will automatically connect to your device the moment it’s removed from the charging case.”

I have to manually select the Soundcore Liberty Air device on my Samsung S8+ bluetooth menu everytime I want to connect. Am I missing a step somewhere?

Have you downloaded the Soundcore app?

@MacBlank, These do not rely on the soundcore app.

@anker733, I would recommend you try unpairing them from your phone, reset and clear your Bluetooth cache and then start over with a fresh pairing. If you are having trouble still, you can always reset them entirely…Anker has posted a few videos on YouTube on how to reset them, Here is their channel I refer you here because they have a few different versions so its easier to point you in the right direction than to explain each variation.

Hey @Tank, I tried unpairing them previously with no luck.

However, thanks to the YouTube reset video you linked to, I was able to reset them completely and they now work as advertised!

I was reading your post, and about to suggest reseting as well since it worked for my coworker. Glad you got them working again!

Earbuds are good but one of the issue which I realized is if you want to connect earbuds to another device you first have to manually disconnect from previous one.
For Example: I connected these buds on my office laptop and they worked fine. After office, I came back with earbuds leaving laptop behind in office. Now at home, when I tried connecting these with my phone, it was giving me error saying “Cannot be connected”. Since laptop was in office, they are of no good use in such cases.
All I fear about is in cases when I keep my laptop in office for whole weekends.

Any help ??

I have never had this issue, I have had mine connected to my laptop and two different phones. And ot works on each when I want to connect to them
