Want a cheap Bluetooth speaker, but want to it get it right as money is tight. So, done a lot of reading and the Soundcore 2 comes out on top a lot (e.g. [Best Bluetooth Speaker Under 50](http://Best Bluetooth Speaker Under 50,100 & 200)) You guys like it? Best under $50 you would say? Thought I would ask aorund each community.

If I were you I would get the Icon. It has equivalent volume to the Soundcore 2, but it is much more rugged (including water and dust proof), lighter, more portable(because of the strap), allows you to go back a track on your music using the speaker, and has more bass. If battery life is your main concern though I would get the Soundcore 2. With a 24 hour battery it is still beating the competition today. The Icon does have a 12 hour battery though, which is usually enough. The Soundcore 2 does have stereo speakers whereas the Icon is mono, but in actual use there won’t be a big difference due to how good the driver is in the Icon. On a side note if it interests you, the Icon also has bluetooth 5.
I think a need an Icon myself
I used a $50 coupon I won to get mine and I am glad I decided to get one, it’s a great little speaker.
I’ll keep my eyes open for it in case I see any deals
