Anker SoundBuds Sport review

Last week I managed to snag the SoundBuds Sport, on Amazon, for 56% off ($16), I must say that’s pretty great. I am hoping to start biking more and I saw the deal and decided this would be good encouragement to get on my bike more often. To preface this during any intense activity or exercise.

Overall these are not top-of-the-line headphones that should be clear but they are also not crappy either. So far, for the price, I am pleased with how they have performed and my issues are minimal. Most of my critiques are not to express my unhappiness (AKA @AnkerSupport I appreciate your offer but I am pleased with these as of right now ) but instead to offer places for future improvement.

Sound Quality:
I have been decently pleased with how they sound for their price and size. In comparison to my earbuds that came with my s8, they could be better. The bass is a bit lacking but I’m not all that surprised. They are best suited for audiobooks and podcasts but they do just fine for music. After all, they are intended for exercise so how much are you really going to care about the lowest base notes.

Construction:
It all seems pretty sturdy but on Amazon people seem to be having problems with them falling apart easily so we will have to see how time treats them. I will say I dislike the charging port cover works. It can be a bit difficult to move out of the way but it is particularly difficult to get back in the port.

Product instructions:
This is where Anker could improve easily. I’ve kinda noticed across the board that the instructions for many products are rather simple. simplicity is often good but it isn’t always the best. For the Soundbuds, I figured most things out easily because of the simplicity but I couldn’t figure out how to turn them off, eventually, I figured out that you just hold the power button till you hear a tone. I feel that the instructions should remain simple but should also be expounded on in a slightly more detailed sentence. Also, that power button does 6 different things, that’s a lot.

BT Connection:
I really don’t have a problem with their Bluetooth connection but the distance they claim they stay connected seems to be shorter than the 33ft they advertise. However, I plan on having my phone on me while I’m on my bike.

Overall good headphones. I have enjoyed them so far and will add my review to Amazon when I test them more thoroughly.

I found that bass will be lacking if you do not get a proper secure fit, and this generally goes for almost any headphones. This in particular is one of the reasons I like the soundbuds surge, as it has a larger driver and good bass output.

And that’s what’s is alway been a problem for me. My ear canals are pretty sensitive so i gonna size smaller for comfort but lose the bass

I have a pair of these and I love them! Great write up.

Great review. Any pics?

I found as others have mentioned that the base is better with the right ear pads but they aren’t A high-end earned. But we’ll worth it to get.

I do the same

That’s good to know, I normally stick with smaller sizes for comfort.
