Either should work fine, but keep in mind if you use the Atom III and charge a device in the second port you would no longer be charging the Macbook Pro with the minimum recommended wattage. Just something to keep in mind.

I am considering Atom III 60w charger which has a single USB-C port so there is no 2nd port to share the charging capacity in that sense both Powerport Speed 1 and Atom III are both at 60w and both has single USB-C charging port, in fact this is the reason for confusion. Not sure if one is better than the other in terms of charging speed.

The main difference is the atom 3 supports Ankers “Power IQ 3.0” charging protocol which allows full speed of PD charging up to 60 watts and Quick charge 3.0/2.0/1.0 instead of just power delivery with the power port speed 1

I’d go for the atom 3 it will give you more flexibility when charging other devices that are not power delivery. Both the powerport speed 1 and the atom 3 will charge your laptop in the exact same speed.

Well I like TheDudes answer honestly. Could just be as simple as if you are focused primarily on macbook pro just get the one on sale. Whrn charging PD you probably wont see much difference, though the Atom 3 would be smaller and less heat (i.e. less wasted energy). Your call really, they re both fine devices.
