Anker PowerPort PD 2 Review
Anker has done it again! They somehow managed to take an existing amazing product, albeit with some glaring flaws, and improve it 10 fold! The PowerPort PD 2 is everything you need to take your charging game to the next level. Allow me to explain.
I’ll be breaking this review down into a few different sections so that those without the Atom can clearly understand EXACTLY what they’re getting.
Physical Size:
The unit mimics the look of Apple MacBook chargers, but half the size. It measures in at 2.5” x 2.5”x 1”. It has two USB type C ports located on its face and plugs in to a standard wall outlet. One of the things I like best about this little charger is that it has double the ports for charging your devices and weighs in at only 6.7 OZ.
Appearance:
The unit itself is white all around, except for the face, which is a slight gray color. There’s an indicator light above the USB ports to let you know it’s functioning.
Performance:
This is where the PowerPort Atom PD 2 shines. This thing completely charges the iPhone X from 0% to 50% in a mere 25 minutes in my testing. The newest iPad takes a bit longer at 45 minutes, but that is due to its larger battery. Also, both devices were in use while charging as well to get the full picture of the Atom’s power! Most of us won’t be draining our batteries to zero before plugging in, so expect to be fully charged in 35-45 minutes max.
Final Thoughts:
The PowerPort Atom PD 2 is a total game changer. It’s lightweight but extremely powerful. Small and portable but outperforms chargers twice it’s size. It’s compact encounters to put in any bag, or simply carry it in your pocket. This is the best device charger I’ve used, and I plan on grabbing a ton more for gifts! GO BUY ONE TODAY!
