Anker PowerLine USB-C with LG V20

I am a long time Anker customer using Anker chargers, cables, etc. I recently purchased an LG V20. The stock cable works with fast charging and pc transfer. However, the Anker PowerLine USB A to USB C cables I purchased cause a slow charging warning from the phone and will not activate the file transfer option when plugged into a PC. I have tried several types of chargers including the LG wall adapter and several PCs in an attempt to activate the file transfer.

Am I missing something?

For quick charge enabled phone you need to enable data transfer or LG’s way, when plugging them into a pc as far as I am aware.

However if you are trying to charge it from the Quick Charge 3 wall plug, then I think you have a faulty cable. Send support@anker.com an email and they should be able to sort it out for you.

Is it possibly a charge only and not a charge/data cable?

If it is this cable - https://www.anker.com/products/A8166011 it should do both data and power.
