I have recently bought the Anker powercore PD 10000 redux and I have noticed that it will only be charged to change something else when the cable is connected in one way. Even though it’s a symmetrical usb c port, it only charges for the Anker cable with the logo facing upwards like the button, and it will not charge if the cable is reversed in direction. I have tested this on a belkin usb c to c cable with the same results. Should this be the case for as the usb c port it is reversible and can be connected either way?
Anker powercore PD 10000 redux - Charging port issue
I report to you aproblem that is not the same but similar that an Italian customer had:
"Small and portable, unfortunately I noticed a big problem with the C socket, used with the original anker to lightning cable for iPhone, it continues to charge and doesn’t load (not stable) as soon as you move the cable, the problem doesn’t happen if it comes used type A usb cable, tried the same anker cable C with socket from the wall does not happen. So the problem is 100% attack of the C socket of this power bank. Disappointed … I didn’t think it could happen from the Anker brand. Not refundable because I threw away packaging from the receipt convinced that it is 100% ok. "
so i think there are some of those device that are faulty and I suggest to you to report it to anker customer service,
Obviously type C should be used from any side.
Thanks for the reply, I will contact Anker customer service.
